Circle of Influence Coaching: We want to change the way women think!

From time to time, you will see a blog post from me with a lesson from one of our coaching events. We will also soon be launching a monthly video, very candid and in your face, about the realities of life, change, and relationships.

Our mission for COI is to influence and change the way we think, behave, and react as women. Our learned behaviors can be unlearned and our habits can be changed. We are looking to restore inner strength and value to women as we work together through life's journeys. We believe that there would not be a need for the useless "feminist movement" if women understood their self worth, divine nature, and inner strengths to their fullest.

And before one of our beloved feminists comes crashing down our comments door, let me explain why we think feminism is overrated and, quite frankly, useless by today's definition.

The feminist movement served it's purpose at one time. Women needed something strong to stand behind and this movement delivered. However, there came a point where it just went too far. Suddenly women "didn't need anyone" and they masked real and natural fears and needs with comments, proclamations and stances they didn't always fully believe in. How do I know this, you ask? Because I was one of these women and I was neck deep in the circles where these women enabled each other. I saw message boards and social groups morph from a supportive and safe place for women to share openly and honestly into a place where eventually a very specific mindset was the only expression allowed and anyone who didn't buy into it was either persuaded or outright ridiculed publicly for their "archaic" beliefs.

It will never be okay for women to force other women into a belief system. Haven't we fought for generations for the right to think and act for ourselves? Then when did it ever become acceptable for our own gender to blast us for having a different opinion? Fact is, it is NEVER okay or acceptable.

Getting back to the point of this post, when we say that we want to change the way women think and act, we don't intend to pigeonhole anyone or force any specific belief system on anyone. Our goal is to remind women of their value and self worth no matter their stances or opinions. To teach women how to channel their inner strength without denying themselves natural needs or equating being strong to being alone. We also want to reprogram the way we as a gender think about or respond to relationships, careers, our overall place in this world, etc. For example, so many of us claim to be strong all over our social media and put up a pretty good front, yet we still make the same wrong choices that lead us to the same predicaments over and over again. I mean, sure, choosing the douchy, hot guy over the cute but nerdy/nice guy eventually works out, right? Girl, please. As women we are more prone to caring what others think of us so much that we often miss opportunities to try a new journey in life. Perhaps people would talk about you for a while, but when the dust clears they've moved on to someone else and you've missed a chance to step out of your comfort zone and soar.

We are launching the idea of Secure Feminism!

We will definitely keep you posted on the launch of our monthly videos which can be found on our Youtube channel and our Facebook page. Until then, you can always set up private sessions with one of our coaches by contacting us via Facebook Messenger or fill out the contact form here on our website.
